CAM Craft is expanding due to the high demand for CNC routing. For 5 years we operated off a single machine but, since February 2006, we have a second, larger machine. This was all done in interest of a mechanical engineer in the family
Our small machine has a cutting area (bed size) of 1300mm x 2600mm whereas the big machine's bed is 2740mm x 1850mm.
CAM Craft mostly uses 6, 8 and 10mm diameter, solid carbide, straight bits for profiles.
Both machines have a sacrificial table top that allows cutting right through the material. We also have a vacuum table system that allows us to hold big boards flat during machining. When the profiles are rather small and intricate, we cut roughly 80% of the profile straight through and tab the rest to the scrap for safety and quality. |
